Dearest pains in my behind,
This guild has been through many trials and tribulations, and I don't imagine the trials will soon stop. That's the challenge of keeping a guild alive. Members come and go -- whether they want to use their playtime elsewhere or real life kicks them in the pants -- but hopefully, through the cycle of different players and personalities, a guild can still maintain its heart and purpose throughout its life.
That is why I know that Redeemed will go on even as I now announce my resignation as your guild leader.
Oh wait... wrong speech!
This afternoon, Tim reminded me that today, July 3, 2011, is Redeemed's birthday. We're two years old!
Having a raiding guild survive consistently throughout two years of content is no small feat and I'm extremely proud of our success. Tim and I are, I believe the only ones left of the original founders, with Dennis not far behind, as an original member of the raiding team.
We've all had the privilege (and the many headaches) of watching our roster change and grow (and shrink) and grow again. We've witnessed every change within the guild occur, and yes...there were a few bleak times where we fought to hold things together, but even through a change in leadership, the guild has managed to maintain its core values. We're proud of that.
We love what this guild is and we hope you do too. We're immensely proud of all of our members -- past and present -- for putting in the blood, sweat, tears, and hard work to help Redeemed rise through the raid rankings. More importantly: we're proud that you all have helped us make Redeemed a hilariously fun place where we genuinely want to spend our time. Redeemed has been, and will remain, a place that we can call our home away from home.
Thanks very much, everyone! And Happy Birthday, Redeemed!
Sincerely,
The Management
